AFASA Reggae Festival
The festival will be headlined by Wailing Souls (from Kingston, Jamaica), and Dee Dread & Walt Richardson, two legendary local reggae bands. There will also be a stilt walker, an acclaimed international DJ (Jahmar), a legendary African storyteller, and an African marketplace, where attendees can sample and/or purchase African and Diaspora African (Caribbean, Soul food) cuisines, crafts, fashion / fabric, jewelry, decor, etc. from festival vendors.

Featuring tasty food, interactive activities, and new art exhibitions, this free event is open to all ages. Live music fills the campus with ambiance, and you can grab a bite to eat from one of our many vendors, then take a seat and enjoy a show.

Ales on Rails
As part of Verde Canyon Railroad's farewell to summer, Ales on Rails toasts the German tradition of Oktoberfest. Enjoy an array of locally brewed Arizona, from lightest pilsners to the hoppiest IPA's to deepest stouts. Now in its 19th year, this very popular season costs $125 per person and includes a designer beer glass with four beer tasting tickets, a made-to-order lunch from the Copper Spike Cafe in Phoenixand a large selection of tasty Arizona-brewed craft beers for only $125 per person. A beer on tap party takes place on the depot patio before the trains depart at 1:00 p.m. Onboard, you can purchase the highlighted beers of the day.

Ludwig I of Bavaria married Margarethe in Munich, Germany in 1810, resulting in the first Oktoberfest. A volksfest continues to be held in Fountain Hills every year to this day. Long tables papered in blue and white provide attendees with a place to interact with neighbors and make new connections. Rockin Taco Street Fest returns to downtown Chandler for its 11th year. More than 20 food trucks and local restaurants will attend the taco party, including Tapas AL Gusto and Los Sombreros. As well as some delicious eats, people will enjoy live music, eating competitions, a mechanical Rockin Taco ride, and Luche Libre wrestling matches.
Enjoy the vibrant dance and music of the 23rd Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival, a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. In addition to Mariachi Los Camperos, Mariachi Estrella de Mexico and Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ dancing, the event features Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Los Camperos.
